About Us
Atypic Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolaterie based in the heart of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
The name Atypic comes from the French word ‘atypique’ which translates to ‘atypical’ in English. This sums up our chocolatiers perfectly in a sense that we farm, harvest, roast, ferment our own cocoa beans before we start our production. From the moment we plant our seed into the soil to the day we hand our chocolate bars to our customers, we are there to represent what we believe and trust. This ensures that every bite of our chocolate conveys our message. Our never-ending mission to make your experience with cocoa magical starts when you have a taste of our chocolate!
Our chocolate factory has been certified under the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system. This globally recognized certification is a testament to our commitment to food safety and quality. It ensures that every piece of chocolate we produce meets the highest standards, as all potential hazards are identified and controlled at specific points in the production process. Enjoy our chocolates with the assurance of the highest safety standards.
Our Packaging
Each Atypic chocolate is a translation of the rich distinct soil from which it grew. The flavour of our chocolate coated the essence of the land we grow our beans with the hints of minerals and unique aroma.
Our packaging design represents the landscapes of the countries of origin. We developed a series of illustrations that represent overhead landscape views, taking customers on an intimate journey over these intriguing distant lands. The logo we created is the vessel in which they can travel. The creative link of branding and packaging design tell the story from the onset. The use of metallic foil on the illustrative patterns simulate the sunlight as it hits the landscape, reminding us of the break we often lack in modern times.
What’s better than having a bite of chocolate with a sip of tea or coffee under the sunset?
